While in Saudi Arabia, I took a call one day. The guy on the other end was looking for a colleague who was no longer there. He said that he was looking for a harmonica player. I said, “Sorry, I play drums.” The rest is history.
Actually, this was the first time I played since Phoenix, many years ago, except for that time with the Flagstaff Symphony. It was fun, and the music wasn’t bad, although the recordings might not be the best. Playing in Saudi Araba was an experience and I remember fondly my partners in musce.
